hello dead blog!
hahahahhahaa! :P

i'm finally finally back!
poly life over.. now is the transition period just like when I just completed my sec sch. lol.... 3 years have pass by so quickly!

year 1 - start of something new, a scary yet enjoyable year. found my new clique in poly!

year 2 - used to poly life - long hours (due to practicals) clocked, projects with clique, know the lecturers better, enjoyed life in poly!

year 3 - BUSY for the entire year. FYP - IAP had drained me totally. plus the lectures, tutorials, practicals and IS that we are supppose to attend, totally kill off my entire weekday + weekends. and now, i think i really know how to write reports! FYP reports kill okay. hahaha.. the total number of pages typed... hand pain, brain-juice draining! hahaha! :P

somehow, i'm glad the 3 years are over.... but u know.... the feeling of leaving is pretty terrible.. believe me, i was somehow so used to reaching sch at 7 - 8am everyday and stuck in the lab the entire day. i dreads the lab work yet now, i totally miss it! i miss opening & closing the tubes which results in the blisters on my fingers! and i miss running PCR i guess... and casting gels.. arghs! i miss lab pple! hahahas..

i know its kind of late to say all these... since i've graduated since a month ago..... 23th Feb 2010... hahaha... and last fri, i've officially graduated by obtaining the results! :D and for now, i'm just left with the OFFICIAL GRADUATION IN MAY! :D :D :D and then uni life starts... and it goes on again...

mean time, i gt myself a temp job, haven even started yet! HAHAHAH! and also training to teach tuition on sats.... hahaha. money money, come to me! :P

and yeah, march is a busy month and so is apr! :)

i know i shld blog more...
but yeah, been real busy with FYP!
and also blogger have been giving me a very weird page everytime i come in to blogger. so i'm getting kind of pissed off with it. plus, i dont know if its my laptop or is everyone facing the same. so yeah, i'm lazy... :/

anyway, monday is here again & i'm back to going back into the cycle of reaching school around 8am and going home at about 6+ or latest 7pm. :/ so yeah. i'm not very looking forward ehs. hahaha..

anyway, shall blog more when i've time. weekends are over again. in very fast speed which irritates me somehow. hahas. anyway, i shld cheer up. haaha.. even though my left thumb had 2 blisters and 1 broke. :/ leaving me with a weird looking thumb. shall take a photo of it and post it when i'm feeling like it. :/

gtg! my bead is calling.
oh, i just forgot to mention that my 2nd mouse in 3 years died on me! left click spoilt! i think the same thing happen to the previous mouse as well... that gives me a better reason to head to IT fair next weekend. HAHA! :P

anyway, hope everyone is enjoying their holidays... i know the exams are over.. haha! but 3rd year = no holiday, so yeah, jiayou everyone!

hahaha.. okay! i'm back after common test, and this is the last time taking CT in poly! & i dont know what to feel about it. as usual, i feel i didnt put it all my efforts. yah yah. my post exam blues for this few semesters. sighs. :/ whatever... i'm sure my proteo get pulled down due to me having poor memory. SIGHS. need some boost for my brain like seriously. hahaha! :))

shall wait till sch reopen.. & i hope for the best.

anyway, i'll be at bintan from today(4pm) till monday(10.15pm). first time going for LSCT's camp. hopefully everything will be fine! :) go away dark clouds. haa. :)

life have been really busy since sch started. i think its like 1st week is the most carefree.. but now, every weekend is taken up by sch work. this is stressful lah.

somemore still have to do fyp which take very very long time. then still have to try get bronze for cca so when graduate it will look nicer. aiyo.. so many things, so little time. really draining my energy man. i think my energy level dropping as the weeks go by. hopefully exams will still be alright...

last sem for studying. and of cos last sem for getting any more awards. so CHIONG AH! :D

this week had been really BUSY! FYP was so tiring. x-x energy is kind of drained just doing fyp, somemore experiments doesnt show any result the entire last week. so yah, did many many things this week.

and i'm really glad i put in effort! cos results came back and the cause of it was determined! so yah, no more 'no bands'. :D

and this week there was plenty of assignments to be completed! like really a lot! and guess what, its vesak day tmr lah. but i gt many things to be done. SIGHH~ so yah, no holiday for me!

so fast, MAY has arrived!
to me, this year is like just a few days ago... but it is already into its 5th month. :/

and sch has started for the 2nd week already! omgs lah. being 3rd year is really stressful, esp when fyp isnt running as smoothly. wasted most of this week cos we had been doing the wrong thing. :/ so got to do it again on the coming week. hais. please let the bands come! i'm so tired of doing it when there is no bands. :(

looking forward to may, cos i'm sure there will be bands. okay, i hope there will be. and being 3rd year is tough. homeworks are overwhelming. let me list them here so at least i wont forget to do them! hahah (:

yay! i took this in lab today. HEHEHE. cos i was dead bored! MSP for 5 hrs was a torture to wait even when we took our own sweet time to cast gel {another thing to wait again!}. hmmmmmmss. and the 3 little 'humans' is JH & I 's motivations. hehes. got it from SIM's megabites. hehe! cute righttt? :)

hehehes. anyway, so far lectures had been okayy. left with genomics lecture, IS and also proteo prac, BMP tutorial and LSSs. hopefully it will all be okayy! :D

fyp has been quite good! have 2 more cell lines now, but they grow real slow.. :/ MSP has been okay. :) i'm enjoying third year but its really stressful. busy-ness man. somemore notes have to be printed ourself most of the time. hais, somemore the photostating machines really can give probs lah! sighss. :(

okay, time to rest. going fyp tmr and also IS. :/another tiring dayy! i want my weekends!

CTSS CARNIVAL
-18 April 2009, 10am to 5pm.

only knew about it today at about 12.30pm. :( even though i passed by the school early in the morning at about 10am la. lol. (on the shuttlebus from west coast plaza.) so decided to head back and visit the school!!!

CTSS after renovation! omgss.. okay, thats the old science blk with the ava room last time.. and now, thats science labs, DNT lab and i dont know whats on top floors. HAHA!.

oh, & actually the empty ground is the quadrangle! it is now smaller than before. :P

i seriously dont recognise the school lah. though there are some that looks the same, but the 'old' feeling is not there alr. but yah, its nice to see it again. :]]

left is the classroom blk! :) now the corridor are changed to the other side! (frm facing the HDB to facing the hall area.) hehes. how i miss the classrooms... so many many memories! and now they are liked to the 'sci blk'. not like last time la. we have to walk frm the 4th floor to the 2nd then to the 4th again. so i guess, now its obviously better! :)

that building there is the hall + canteen! the hall seriously look so nice already lahh... GLASS DOOR LEH, and also nice flooring! not like our time, wooden flooring and the lousy shuttles. hahaha! oh, but i think the canteen look so small now! its was like BIGGER last time. haha! :)

& this is to refresh ur memory of the old building! the 'stage' there is no longer the same! haha. I seriously miss it man.... reminds me of my 'respect' speech to the sch. LOLLL. the place also look more organised now! more plants everywhere! :)

haha. anyway, i still think they should built a tent at the quadrangle area la. the canteen look so messy today. but still i guess its kind of nice. :) one thing i really like about going back is visitiing the teachers! they are always so niceeee! :D

saw Mrs Cheong, Mr Eugene Tan, Mrs Wang, Ms Tan Wen Yi, Ms Koh and also mr ng. All the teachers look the same lah! dont look any older leh! :X i'm serious! they still look exactly the same when i last saw them! and they are still as friendly! :) i'm still wondering why Ms Koh gave me a WERID look today. LOLLL! chatting with them makes me want to be a sec sch student again. i miss their classes!!! can i have extra classes? hahaha.

might head back on lantern festival is time permits. :) its really nice to go back and just tour around the school! :)

oh, and this is the last weekend where i can enjoy! cos sch is starting in less than 2 days time. and i got all the lectures waiting. :/ arghs. & not forgetting my project!

my project moved a huge step this week! cos we now know the correct procedure of isolating and also how to calculate the concentrations. we somehow wasted many many flasks of BT549, but luckily they grow fairly quickly. so it was kind of alright. and the concentration that we manage to get is so much higher than normal. making it unbelieveable! so now, 2 cell lines down! 4 more to grow! hahaha. made us rush for lunch for the entire week man. i'm seriously drained. but the results we get so far was good. :)

so i guess thats a good week. hopefully the following will be too. :) though it will be weird to only go to the lab during my breaks. so yah, i hope it will be good! :P

yay, long weekends this week!

somemore i ended sch early on thurs! HAHAHA.
so even earlier "weekends".

MON - WED
was in school everyday from like 9am all the way to almost 6pm. :/ cos was running a lot of MSPs. and it was dead tiring. but luckily so far results are good. :)

THURS
finished sch early and we gt weird results. going to ask Dr.Lau on monday. :) we then went to Uncle Sam's claypot at clementi's CITYVIBE. had student meal that has boneless chicken claypot rice, one cup of fruit punch & a bowl of Ice kachang for only $5.50. so tried it out and the claypot was not bad, just that there are too many skin and i simply dont eat them. their 'salted fish' was also too big. but overall was okay, yummy!

just when we were waiting for ice-kachang to arrive, there was a sudden blackout. :/ sighs. so we waited and waited & waited. we waited for almost an hour then decided to leave. and guess what, they told us due to the blackout, it is FOCs. :) so FREE LUNCH! :P

so fast sch is going to start again. 1 last week of 'holidays'. will be dead busy when sch reopen. 8 modules total. busy-ness. JIAYOU bah! that what i can do. :) & i really feel like going out and enjoy myself before sch starts! book me in the weekends if u all want then. hehes. :) i want to go shopping! :D

this week was so much better than last! cos no reports to do, nothing to rush! & i get to go home much earlier! so yes! i like it! :) thats because bands start to appear for my experiments! YAYY! lovess! i love bands. haha!

and we are 15 days away from official sch starts. the stress, the busy-ness. arghs! thats so tiring. but i guess its going to be worth it afterall. :)

aiming for good results so i can get into Uni! :D

Today, is really a dead funny day! :D
HAHAHA!

everything was kind of quiet in the morning. and everything was dead funny after lunch! thats when everything goes bonkers & instead of feeling low becos of it, we was laughing like crazy. HAHAHA! once one of us do smthing wrong, the other will follow!

& for today, we was so blur to run a PCR that only has mastermix! LOL!!! thats becos we mix mastermix with DNA! so ended up with all mastermix. luckily, we still have DNA present. then we spoilt 1 tube of DNA! LOL lah. so now we ended up with just 1 tube of DNA. HAHAHA.

i bet today is the worse MONDAY BLACK. HAHAHA!
okay, another insider joke. :x
but it was real fun!

the more hope you have, the more disappointment you will get. :/

& this is what i had been feeling for the past 1 week.
the moment the photo come up in genesnap that captures the bands on the agarose gel, my heart just dropped to the bottom. & we had done it 4 times this week and all we get are empty photo with only DNA ladder. :/ shugs. i dont like it.

but whatever it is, we are going to do it again on monday! & i'm once again hoping it will be positive results. :D doing it as correctly as possible. (: so far only about 1 month had past for fyp and i had already learnt so many things. :D i'm happy i'm given the chance to do it. & will try my best. :P

& today, the incubator gave us a big alarm ring. LOL. seem like there is a leak in the head of the carbon dioxide tank. so, our incubator was calling not stop. irritating! & then Huay shan came and tried to solve it... then i guess she went and find the CCTA TSO! haha. and they end up doing it for more than an hour! OMGS.

then the cells look so little! i just hope nthing will happen again! :( scary leh, to have cells dying and dying. :( i hope they have the will to survive! I LOVE YOU BT549! :D LOLLLL! okay, i'm trying to be lame. HAHAHA. but yah, dont die on me again. its scary lah.

Contradictions.

life is so full of contradictions. I felt nervous at about 6am? and i was feeling okay at ~7.30am after looking at my results. and now, while i reach home abt 30mins ago, i'm feeling down. Its as though i was about to cry, the world is going to be gone. I dont know... I want that feeling to be gone. I want to be happy again. & i know i will, cos i need to so i can WORK HARD!

this is one time i dont feel like posting up my results, even though its not my worst result, but still, its one that i could have done a lot better, but i didnt.

so, i would just say, i didnt do badly in your eyes, but i did badly in my eyes. Its so not up to my standard. but i would say this is the process of learning. :)

i'm going to work harder for the coming semester, to get into NUS! i somehow just prefer NUS more than NTU. haha. but I might only be able to get into NTU. so triple hard and more efforts needed, no more last min studying. JIAYOU FONGENG! :) WORK TOWARDS UR GOAL. :D

alright, i've enough for 1 day. enough of feelings enough of talking abt results. back to updating lab book & start on lab review report. literatures are making me super sleepy.

shall do smthing abt it then. jiayoussss. :D

& hopefully everyone is satisfied with their results. if not, work harder. :)

life is always filled with ups and downs, don't let this down bother you. reflect and work harder next time. it will be better. How much efforts is put in will be reflected on the result slip.

unlucky week?

isnt this cute? hehes. :)

anyway, nthing much happened this week in sch for fyp other than the 2 SkBr3 cell lines that had died. :( arghs! first was due to over trypsinzed and second was due to too early subculturing resulting in no cell-cell interactions. ARGHS! :(

i hope the coming week will be better! thawing it again on Monday after all the talks. :/

and for the last day of the week, FRI, Dr. Lau showed us this movie which is related to biosafety. :) & i guess its quite a nice movie, other than the volume being too soft which ended up i dont know some parts of the show at all. but yah, overall was okay! :)

Its about a monkey that passes the virus to humans and resulting in a terrible situation. luckily at the end of the movie, everything is fine again! though part of it is not realistic. HEHE. :)

FYP was still quite slacked cos we dont know many stuffs yet! & the cells are yet to grow finish.. & it was so CCTA!

from making solutions to cell culturing, changing medium, passaging! though things are similar, but we are so not used to it! cos now, its not u have to do, but rather, you want to do. :) so everything is still new to me! and there are many things that i dont know where is it. but so far, it has been kind of fun. & i ready have 3 cell lines growing! so its kind of scary. but so far 2 of it is still out of bound! cos its too precious for us to try out. HAHA. so its still like 1 cell line. :)

& for today, did autoclaving, some dilution of primers, watched huay shan demo changing of medium (picked up really useful TIPS that i didnt know when studying CCTA!), subculturing.

was suppose to make our own trypsin-edta, but due to us making mistake, we ended up losing the entire bottle. wasted that money! but yah, now i know to do it in the fume hood not outside! :X

then went for lunch an headed home. (:

had a nice afternoon nap cos was having a terrible headaches. :/ sighss! i hate headaches! always make me feel very tired. bleahss.

alright, time to go! wont be going to sch tmr! so ask me out if u want! haha! :) but i guess, i shld be at home reading those literature that Dr. Lau sent. (:

it let me reflect on what happened today! (a little?)

so, today was the first day of FYP. :/ its suppose to start 12th but i started mine today. and yah, didnt do much. Just briefing.
& we had to copy many many protocols. :'( then we went to print more protocols.

and i dropped my EZ-link card. LOL. and i totally didnt realised it till the student service there called me. :/ & cos i was at the canteen at that time, i couldnt really hear what they were telling me. :/ so i ended up at the library asking for my card and the people there told me had to wait till 2pm cos the other person was having lunch. LOL! so i waited, read iweekly, goggled for squash stuffs. and then went back to collect and found out actually its the student service downstairs. dots dots dots. and it was even in my horoscope, it said that i will lost something. and it did! OMGSS.

not that i'm supertitious, but it did happened! scary lehs.

so yah, i'm going to end this post here!
will be in sch tmr again & till next year. & i'm sure i'll be busy. but i still hope i will have the chance to blog and relax (:

我回来了！ i'm really happy to start blogging again! AFTER 25days? OMGSSS..
i think this is the ever first time that i didnt blog for so freaking LONG! hahaha..
suddenly i feel like typing this post in chinese.. i wonder why.
& suddenly there are so many feelings.

& today, marks my last day as a YEAR 2! :(
i feel older, not wiser leh. how? :/

anyway, let me sum up my this experience, feelings and all the stuff for this sem.
Sem 2.1, a VERY tough semester, a VERY short semester, & the last thing i feel, a VERY VERY STRESSED semester! i know, everyone who take MBIO course would agree with me! RIGHTT??

so yah, first thing i will miss is, 2F03 is no longer together! though.... my new class next sem is still 95% SAME PPLE! LOLL... & i sure miss the big class! from 19? to like 12? or smthing. :/ not sure if it is confirmed. haa. but yah, anyway, i lost a chance to know a new classmate...

if u all have been reading newspaper, both chinese and The new paper, u shld have seen a news of a ngee ann poly student who passed away... so yah, he is suppose to be in my class, but i think we just gt no fate bah. :/

so yah, this whole sem, i learned a lot. but i know my paper will kill my GPA lahs. i only have more confident in IMM & MMB. the other 2... really dead. i can only wish for good result. if only things will be good. (:

12th Feb marks my last day of lessons. and TODAY, marks my last day of year 2. so.. i know i will miss this class, this semester, the lecturers - the very nice & some naggy, some scary. but sure i will do keep them in my heart, my memories of NGEE ANN. (: & all the best to those starting attatchment on Monday, and those that are going oversea for attatchment! :) jiayou & keep in touch ah!

& I will be back in sch on Monday for briefing of FYP. :/ scary eh. Dr. Lau said to bring labcoat & lab record book of 200 pages. OMGS. I only wish it will not be all filled up la. SCARY leh.. 200. :/ & i think i will be in for the entire day. cos morning will be filled with briefing by huay shan then afternoon by Dr. Lau. now just have to wait for Dr. Rekah's email for schedule... SCARY LEHS. I'm going to 3rd year in 3 days! Thats so fast! just done with my exams and poof! i'm year 3! LOL.. sounds like magic. hahaha!

& i cant imagine kasinah and lousia is GRADUATING! OMGSS! congrates girls! (: i hope i can pop by for ur grads! hehehe. if i'm in sch on that day lah, & if i'm free. cos i shld be due in sch. haha. busy busy busy! 3rd year going to go fast. & i'll have to start studying again in april.

I just heard that PAY IS $480 a month but i dont know if its real... haha! so i just wish for the highest pay! (: then i can save money for my HONGKONG TRIP next year with SALLY & YX! :) & i think i will miss SALLY A LOT LAH.. she is going to leave me in Singapore and leave for BEIJING?

anyway, i think i'm really tired for TODAY!
MMB paper in the morning till 11am. then off to the pre-planned cycling, though it was failed lah. walked for so long to search for the renting of bicycle but cannot find. :/ so end up going for bowling & pool! :) finally played them after so long (since sec sch) omgs. it feel so long ago! & i think its really nice to hang out with my friends! more OUTINGS please! :) hehehe. I really miss the celebration after exams! hahaha. sec sch's celebration after exams are so nice lah.
i miss pool a lot i guess! i like that more than bowling, cos i always wash the drain lahs. Drain is so clean already, and the woman beside us is scary lah! hahaha. (:

then i went to imm for DAISO! & i bought some cute stuff! & i think i really like the photo frames there! Now i want to go ikea to get some wall shelf then i can buy more cute stuff! bought a new house phone too, cos my sis decide that it is too thirsty! so she gave it APPLE JUICE! HAHAHAHA! LOL lah.

i think i will end it here. I'm drained! oh, & i haven change my BLOGSKIN! ALAMAK! tmr lah. :( very tiring leh!

2nd week of sch! (12-16 Jan)

Monday (12 Jan)
had the usual mmb lecture & PAT pracs.
mmb was okay.. on dignostic microbiology.
and all the things are kind of hard to remember. :/
& it will be in CT2! :(

PAT prac was on food processing.
so gt to play around with all the food.
mostly fruits & drinks.
& there was Malick acid! hahah.
the small grp of us had a nice laugh! (:

after class went to clean up the greenhouse!
& i manage to get some of the plants home! :)
i now have 1 flower plant, blasam plant.
1 lettuce plant which is still growing!
1 mint plant i think, thats what my mom said.
& 1 kangkong plant! actually had 3 of it,
but somehow only 1 survived. :/
so hopefully they will continue to groww.
& seriously they are thirsty plants.

Tuesday (13Jan)
IMM lec, PAT lec.
imm was on application of antibodies. & it was similar to mmb.

PAT - get back papers. 78/100
& dr. malick was saying that it was the simplest paper he set. LOL!
surprisingly, i get a B+. hahaha! i thought i'm going to do badly.
my results always differ from what i think i will get lah.
this is so irritating. :(

Wednesday (14Jan)
ccta lec, mmb lec, imm lec, mmb prac.
ccta was as usual boring. cos it was on calculation... & some effects.
pasture effect & crabtree effect.

mmb was still on dignostic microbio.
& we learned ELISA, flowcytometery and many more.

imm was on ELISA, immunofluroscence and so on..
(the more i listen to it, the more confuse i become! hahaha!)

mmb prac was totally tiring.
cos there were many many things to do.
4 different thing in 3hrs prac class.
& to me, there was lots of errors done.
and i feel its because of the long time didnt have prac classes. haha!
managed to finish everything on time! (:

Thursday (15Jan)
suppose to have IS class.
but lecturer was on MC. & we only knew it at 9am
when class was at 8am. :/
the sch is really not efficient in doing this man...
so ended up finishing the PTC report for that 'woman'.

Friday (16Jan)
ccta prac, imm prac & imm tutorial.

CCTA prac - said gd bye to little mice.
she is such a poor little thing.
& my grp took 2 spleens frm 2 mices.
but 1 of it was gone before starting...
& another 1.. didnt manage to get any cells.
the cells died, before we could fuse them.

so end up tat 2 mice died for nothing at all. :/
poor thing. how i wish i can bring it home. :(

took spleen cells frm another grp & we fused it.
hopefully nothing will happen to it again..
if not it will be wasted again. :(

& our class, as usual, over run again!
so ended up having vending machine-sandwiches. :/

imm was okay..
dot blot & western blotting(part1).
Dr. Lim said my class is interesting!
we either do well or fail. haha!
so the Bs and the failures was the most.
and there was no 'C'. hahaha!

& yah, i'm in the B grp!
almost an A lah. :/

so now, my grades are really terrible.

& Jiahui & I managed to get our first choice!

then print and cut ptc poster stuff till 2am. :(

Sunday(18Jan)
was studying PTC CT & re-doing the poster.
cos totally not enough space lah.
so end up get a new board and did it!

3rd week of sch...
the most busy week.

Monday(19Jan)
mmb lec, PTC prac.

mmb lec was okay, on industrial microbio.
it was okay, lots of food thingy.
hehehe. on how microbes are used in the industry!
so that includes yoghurts, cheese! :D

PTC prac became CT & presentation.
CT shld be able to pass... hopefully.
then presentation was only to a peer that is assigned.
so it was not that bad.

Tuesday (20Jan)
imm lec, PTC lec.

imm lec was on vaccination.
then we rushed to buy lunch & sat at benches waiting for that 'woman'.
had to do presentation to her. & it ended up eating 1hr of lec time.
surprisingly, Jiahui & I dont have to re-do our poster!
so lucky, cos the rest of the class had to re-do. :/

after that had mmb tutorial last min.
& it was helpful. :)

Wednesday (21Jan)
ccta lec, mmb lec, imm lec, mmb prac, ccta proj.

ccta was on bioreactors- aeration & agitation..
mmb lec was on environmental microbio..
imm lec was still on vaccination.
mmb prac was just seeing results.
then stayed back to do ccta proj till almost 8pm...

Thursday (22Jan)
IS class on marketing. :/ was totally not listening to it...
was doing CCTA lah. lols.
hopefully it wont pull our marks down or what... :/
hehehe.. then ate at canteen 2 and headed home..
did the ccta proj stuffs.
slept at 12+am cos was doing the ppt. & the wiki stuff.

Friday (23Jan)
meet them at 8am in sch to finish up the bioreactor.
then went for class! first to present again! LOL.
i really feel i'm cursed. :/hahahah...
but overall was okay! :)
then was seriously bored after that & i was looking at
charissa play mindjolt games. HAHAHA!
so i ended up not listening to most of the presentation..
plus, i really cant understand the 2nd one...
no offence though, but still... yahh..

& there was also the knocking part!
& we get to use the multi-channel micropipette. :D

OPEN HOUSE 09 (:

yah, was dead busy with NP's open house 09 for the entire week.
helped out with setting up on Wed, since there is no practical class.
also immunize the mice for the last time.
& yah, its kind of hard. :/ & my mice squeaked a lot.. :(

& it will not live past next week. :( :( :(
okay, i feel sad alr. cos no more fridays with the mice!
& no more duty which i can then play with it :(
sighs. hopefully everything will be fine bahs.

so yah, then after which when to the greenhouse!

will be getting some of it home to continue growing as we are expected
to clear off everything by monday :( poor plants.
i'm really glad the plants grew so well & when we enter the greenhouse,
its really like a forest! :) sounds so crazy, but its true!
esp. for the guys area! omgs. really like NP FOREST! :)

& the kangkongs are really LONG! hahaha.

so back to the 'open house!'

after going to the green house, went to collect the HUGE openhouse T-shirt!
L-size lah. can u imagine? actually there was still M when we ordered,
but was too slow, so ended up getting L. :/ but the shirt is real nice(:

then as I was waiting for the confirmation of the T-shirts stuff, Dr. New asked
if I was able to help with setting up the displays.
(no agar plates involved, just the microscopes!)
& the switch used is the most amazing so far i've seen.
its a switch that u can just push & turn into a line across the lab bench,
and tahdahh! u get power! COOL LEH! & it was an invention of SINGAPORE! (:
omgsss! shld have get a pic of it, but nah, wasnt in the mood to take much photos. :)

Thursday wasnt involved cos there was IS class,
even though, i was suppose to do the duty. (:
so ended up slacking at home. HEHEHE. :)

Friday had to go for morning duty - station 2. was kind of quiet. :)
& yah, we gt deputy director of NP to come and hear all our exhibition.
SCARY. & he is like the first person we had to intro to.
but overall was okay. (:
didnt had the provided lunch as it wasnt appealing?
& also there are just too little food left. :/
lols. poor thing huhs. :(

set them up & we had a go of going through what we need to say to the visitors. :)
was nervous man, it was like having oral. lols. :P
but it was okay! (:

after that was PHOTO TAKING! damn funny okay.
actually was suppose to pose for Dr. New's camera.
ended up Dr. New joined us & Dr. Amy Ooi took over to take the photos!
then Dr. Tan came over with another camera!
lols. so was there taking & taking & taking photos!
we even gt a few under the 'microbe-man' signboard.
haha! & the plant TSO laughed at us! OMGSS. damn paiseh okay....

then was slacking... & then we had lunch! finally the food wasnt gone! :)

back to duty and everything was starting to get a little busy.

i'm really stressed since sch is starting in another 2days.
& i still have 2 reports, 1 practical flowchart, print reports,
print stuffs & not forgetting something on Openhouse. aiyos.
& when sch reopen, i gt to buy more notes for lectures!
omgs. :/

this week is the most hectic. was in sch on tues, wed, fri. 3/5 days.
and on 2 days i stayed till almost 8pm.
and 1 day till 3pm?
arghs. & my lunch time is totally out of order.
1 day i eat at 12, another day 3?

i'm not sure what is wrong with me..
i just dont have the motivation to read up my journal for the review.
and i still have to read up on bioreactors.
then also to search for things for PAT project.
sighs.

1 week of holiday over, 2nd week coming to mid-week.
and i still have...
1. CCTA PROJECT
2. PTC PROJECT
3. PAT field trip report
4. PTC lab report?
5. STUDY FOR PTC TEST?? {which i dont even know when...}

shugsss. how i wish my holiday is 'assignment-free.'
haha. :(

enough of my 'lack of motivations'.
cos i quite okay now, having a little more motivation after that
little chat with Dr. Lau - the nicest lecturer in LSCT! :]
i not boasting or what, but in my 'almost' 2 years in LSCT,
he is one that is the nicest, willing to help you in any way that
he can, joke around with you, ask you things not related to sch,
introducing new movies that are nice & most importantly,
he treat you as a friend and is willing to give you motivation! :D

okay, did i just typed a whole paragraph of 'testimonial?'
hahaha. okay.. but i guess that how it feels to me. :)

recently i have the weird feelings of friendship.
i mean, i not saying that this feeling is something bad..
but it just keep creeping up on me, making me feel things
that i dont want to feel. hais. :(

am i losing touch with this world?
hmms. i wish sch would start soon...
but then again, it would mean getting busy again.
just left with 5-6 weeks of study..
then its 1 more week of study break just before the final exams..
and then i'm off to my 3rd year in poly.

seriously this is my last holiday in poly.
there is a lot that i feel like doing but at the same time,
i just feel like letting everything go..

ccta practical, imm practical.
ccta was like disgusting.
but then ah, my grp was like suayy till cannot..
break 2 eggs and still only egg yoke. no embryo.
ended up have to use the head of other grps embryo.
and we had to cut out the eyes somemore.
yuckss.. :( it wasnt smooth la. keep having probs.
okay, maybe not just my grp, but grp that uses the grp A BSC. :( :(
ended up only have 5-10mins of lunch. :(
& dr. lau popped by to see us! :]] haha..

imm practical was okay lah.
lots of stuff to do.. just to get a slide that we see only for 5mins?
LOL.. then we had booster shot for the mice.

5hrs of torture & i was there cutting lime
for i dont know how long.

Immunology lecture for 2 hrs.
lots of Igs(immunoglobulins).
get to learn about B cells receptor!

important part of a body!

& there is like millions millions of them? lols. :)

hahaha! anyway, thats what i learnt this week lah.

then my grp mice was kipnapped. -.-'''
i have no idea why my classmate can take

they end up trumatizing the mice lah.

then went to consult the UFS lecturer for proj.
did e-quiz, had lunch. then all the way UFS proj till 6pm.

friday
- ccta prac, imm prac, imm tutorial.
ccta prac was fun, lots of laughter. will post the photos 'soon'.
ended early and hence, more time for lunch! :]
imm prac was fun too.
though fingers was so tired due to continous pipetting.
no mice this week.

imm tutorial was fun.
had MeL tutorial and then played
'who wants to be a millionair game' on WBCs.
was the 3rd to earn a 'virtual' $1 million!
dr. lim was cute.
cos fyp proj list was released at her lesson,

i have got ultra feelings today.
becos its bleeding the mice.
i think i'm too emotional lah.

hearing the squeak that they give out
really aches my heart lah.
even though i didnt really have much contact
with them, i think i'm like feeling close to it.
its like a feel of pity for them.

this feeling really got me thinking..
for a long time. :]

but, i'm still glad cos i'm like able
to bleed them! even though my hands were shaking.

but, its a good experience okay.

3hrs of MMB practicals.

so tiring right?
the practical is really CRAZY lah.
Every 20mins is a cycle.
each time have to dilute 6 times.
have to do for 6 cycles.
total 36 tubes.
and then 3 plates of spreading per cycle.
total of 18 plates.

maybe you cant feel it,
but when the timer goes off ah,
the whole class goes into the same routine
of serial dilution & spreading.
not forgetting preparing 1ml for spectophotometery.
CRAZY. :/

but i think i had fun.
& dr. new is like damn nice. :]
another Mr. Nice guy. =]

and guess the bacteria that we used?
E.coli

then next wed, i would have max

& after the first day, i'm dead tired alr. :/

went to school early to buy mmb practical notes.
queued for at least 30mins lahh.
all thanks to those YEAR 1s! :(
all along in the e-mart,

I really miss the lecturers actually!

then went for PAT practical.
while in the lift, we saw a lady
and we suspect she is that lecturer lah.

so we went for class & OPPS,

then we see her true colour.
shugs. its really like totally different.
& i dont understand what she was saying.

rot in room till 4pm.
watched tv, though we dont understand the show. :/

aisyah2 & yifan reach abt 3+pm with all the food!

4pm: guys check in their room.

4.10pm: roam around resort area.

4.30pm: watched more tv in room.

start BBQ.

7.00pm - 7.20pm: Dr. Forday left, still starting fire.

7.30pm - 10.oopm: BBQ-ing food.

but some food are rather uncooked.
used rice cooker to cook cheese sausages, crabmeat & hotdogs.

then clean up.

12.00am - 2.00am: watch EAGLE EYE MOVIE.

bathed, watched tv like the million times.

DOUDOU{豆豆}: bigger in size, rounder, gets bullied but also bully coco, loves to climb & nibble my clothes & my hand, (not forgetting digging), loves to sleep, get push down the wheel.

cos they seems highly active in a way with each other. LOL!

kind of a typical hong kong drama that the morale of the story is,

i feel weird today.
maybe the hormones are acting up
due to -you-know-what-.

i just have weird feelings this holiday.
or maybe, just a little more today.
hmmms.

i just feel kind of weird since this holiday
is the only holiday so far that i did not work.
but i'm glad i didnt, since it might be
the very last holiday for me. haha.
okay, i shall not say too much,
have to wait for next sem to come. :)

& so far, this sem i have not meet up with
lots of pple, i feel really weird.

just 5 more days to release of results,
& i'm afraid. Afraid that it will not meet
my expectation, afraid, that i might have
to repeat a module like BIF. shugs.
somehow I was hoping it would come soon,
yet, i'm wishing it would come later.
this kind of feeling, i feel it stronger each sem.
I know my GPA of 4 will be gone for sure,
i just hope BIF wont pull it down a lot. :(
I just have the feeling of being lost.

biotech fair

okay, i'm back from BIOTECH FAIR '08.
& i'm sooooo tired lahs. :(

i have 2 medical plaster stuck to each of my feet!!
wearing the shoe for the entire day can
really kill my feet lahs! :/

DAY 1
help out at the registration booth.
but yah, the registration booth does not only do registration
but also safe-keeping, information, direction and
so many many more lahs.

so tiring, & then there was no CHAIR,
cos some 'aliens' came to borrow!
so ended up having to stand there
from about 12+pm all the way till 5pm.

then have to entertain the irritating
HWA CHONG pple. :(
really irritating lahs!
they really pisses me off man. :/
want to see their FACES?

there was the judging going on and
the symposium talk on stem cells.

Mr Lau(exctss) was there too!
with his students from SCGS. :D
nice seeing him.. :P

Saw Elicia there too.
cos she was one of the judge. :D
it was kind of funny as we were waving at her
and she didnt wave back. LOL..
it was nice seeing her. :)

everything ended at 5.30pm.

Day 2
much more relaxed.
as there is only prize presentation
and the game show. :D

so was rotting till 3.30pm.
then helped out with the gameshow.
was appointed to chung cheng high(main).
but didnt do much la.
just make sure they have everything they needed.

then nthing much lor..
1st segment was the quiz on the exhibition.
2nd segment was the 'boogle' alike game.
3rd segment was to build a house with recycled material.

i really cannot stand HWA CHONG lahs.
they took lots of goodie bag then put so many into
the lucky draw lah! this is so IDIOT.
and so no integrity lah.

luckily the gameshow hwachong nv win!
YAYYY~!

then at abt 6pm then we started cleaning up.
it was so hilarious la.
everyone just anyhow anyhow throw.
hahaha! & Dr. Tan (proteomics lecturer)
was super funny! :D

then we was dismissed!
finally after 2 days of 'torture'! :(

but i think it was a really nice thing to do.
since i normally dont do such stuff. :D

really nice experience. :)

going to blog a little for this sem that had past.
& i know i'll miss this sem a lot. :D

a lot has happened this sem,
from being in a new class to new lecturers,
new modules and so on.

i still remember seeing the time table and then
grumble and grumble and grumble!
becos the monday one is really bad. :(

but yah, as the time goes by, i kind of used to it already. :D
& this sem seems super fast.

i bet i will not forget the first practical of MOBIO this year!
I at first thought Eric was our practical lecturer,
Dr. Lau! damn hilarious lahs! luckily didnt call wrongly! :D

i have not seen a rainbow for ages.
when will i get to see it again?

i think the sight will be very pretty if
rainbow is seen in a dark thunderstorm.

maybe even in the darkest moment,
a rainbow can really cheer someone up. :D

what a gloomy day today has been.
the rain just keep pouring since the early morning.
it makes me no mood to do anything,
also, i realised that i actually dont have anything much to do.

the long awaited 7 week holidays are here for real. :D
after mugging for the final paper (MOBIO) for like 2 days,
i can say i'm really exhausted & i'm glad its over.

now just wait for 15 Sept.

in the mean time, time to enjoy the holidays with....

Life is a journey of learning...

you learn from the first day you are born... some even before you are born.
and you continue to learn and learn all the way till the end of the road.

Life is such a weird and mysterious thing.
Especially how human adapt to things, how the body functions, how each and every cell in the body play a big role in life...

I suppose everything that happened in life always have something to teach us..
Obstacles train you to persevere to overcome future obstacles.

How many people in life know how many obstacles they had gone through?
and do you learn something from every obstacles?
or do you just treat it as just going through as a chore?

I'm glad I'm studying Life science now.
Really, though all the facts that I have to know is really A LOT,
the functions, the process, the result, the inputs, the history and so on and so on..
but they do make sense to me now. To me, I don't feel good not knowing how some stuff function especially those that it is inside you, your organs, your cells, your brains..

before learning all about biology, i never knew there was 20 amino acids and they are VERY IMPORTANT to us, human and even animals and all living things.

before stepping into LSCT in NP, i never read articles on Science. Now reading them weekly in The Straits Time Saturday really makes me think harder and more. I would never have done that in Sec sch anyway. :D

Also, i bet i will never forget what is DNA now. & how everyone is special as we have all different DNA just like your thumbprint except for twins, triplets and so on...

We are UNIQUE! =D
& I'm PROUD OF IT! :D

also,

so, live your life as though it will be the last day you have. =D
life it to the fullest & one that you will not regret it. :)

okay, and almost over!
hahaha..

anyway, today has been real great!
bchem ct2 is good, hopefully there is no major mistakes!
then mos burger was yummy, despite the fact that its still unhealthy.
money not enough 2 was funny, yet touching!
Np National day celebration is SUPERR,
though there was the super irritating pples. =X

only get 1hr to do the ct2, seems so short yet i've manage to get it done in abt 1/2hr. =P then it was all the checking that took another 15mins. haha! have confidence to get high marks. =D I seriously want to get AD for bchemm! =D lol..

i seriously think NPs' national day is so much more fun & exciting than theSingapore's' national day in my opinion la. I LOVE THE LSCT PERFORMANCE MOST! =D

PROGRAMME:

1st: march in of the guest of honour..
followed by the national anthem & the pledge..
-the flag even rose from the ground to the celling! COOLS!

2nd: 'one heartbeat'
-totally have no clue what is it about! hahaha..
everyone was kind of high lahs. =D

3rd: video of 'We are family' by iMC.
-kind of funny

4th: passing of gym balls frm the back right to the front
to form "Happy 43rd Birthday!"
-totally crazy! it was like killing the front pple as the gym balls was 'thrown'.

-it was really nice. =D

-funny and confusing!

-paper planes were used instead of the real plane. =)

spent like 2hrs sitting at the bench at 6th storey figuring

out the Forward primer & Reverse primer. :/

so hard lahs.

luckily Dr. Lau came to the rescue! haha!

okay, not exactly rescue la.

but helped us in understanding the situation

& also parts of here and there leading us to

more things to do! =D

end up had a very rush lunch as there is still biochem prac.

had a great great laugh due to aisyah 2's present. =)

hahaha~ & we used OC lab instead of the usual lab

cos there was an IPC practical exam soon for the year 1s.

& also there was a blackout in the labs.

so weird. =)

i miss sitting in that lab doing my practicals with Ms. Teh! =D

totally sleepy during the prac lesson.

but managed to finish it up!

mobio's lecture was done.

need to revise already.

& practical test is NEXT WED.

so yah. lots to do this weekend. =/

& also the next weekend.

super tired now.. so i'm going to sleep already.

this week is almost over.
& i have not blog for a week! haha!

so far these are done:
1. EtBr quiz
2. Bchem presentation
3. I&E!
4. MOBIO practical.

Now just left with this - BIF + MOBIO project.
PANDA, POLAR BEAR, KOALA, HUMAN.
whats the similarities between them?

after tmr, even INAC practical is done.
time really flies in year 2.
I cant believe its already left with 4 weeks to end of semester!
I'm going to miss all the super nice lecturers this sem.
Dr. Choy, Dr. Lau, Dr. Forday, the TSOs. =D

I enjoyed this sem. hopefully the results will be good for the final exams.
praying hard. =(

really tiring.

I kind of miss all the free time I had last year.
I know the rest of my poly days are all filled with 'busy-ness'.

things got out of hand yesterday. & i agree with this sentence, "LSCT students are always bullied by BA students." said by Dr.Lau. :)

i'm hating ba students more and more now. i mean, not all, but those 'blacksheeps'.

i'm not going to blog anything here. its the past. I JUST HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO SEE THEM AGAIN.

after today, everything is all said and settled. i'm feeling so much relieved now.(:

Last BIF lecture today. really need to revise BIF already. quiz on 6th Aug is 40%. OMGs. its like totally cannot fail lahs. :( JIAYOU FE. :D

INAC is like finishing soon. shugs. and CT2 is less than 2 weeks away. goshh. totally fast. & it includes GLC & HPLC. must really study already.

BCHEM presentation on monday, I&E presentation & report by next thurs. EtBr quiz on monday. hais. not forgetting BCHEM + MOBIO's CT2 during week 16 or 17. *which is abt 3 weeks away!

its really tiring to be in YEAR 2. so yah, got to buck up & really need to be self-disciplined! i'm going to start revising for all modules tmr. haha! i hope i can do it! & i suppose i will pop by the sch's gym for a good run. :)

i scored 59/60 for BCHEM. omgss! i'm so happy. & the only thing that i get wrong is.... a stupid MCQ. "what is the disease associated with the deficiency of Vitamin C?"

& being me, who nv study for this qns, just picked the ans that look super familar to me, BERIBERI. & yah, actually i know from start it is wrong. but since dont know ans, i might as well just guess beriberi. LOL.

& yah, the correct ans is SCURVY. damns.

nvm...... will do better for FINAL PAPER. :D
